How We Got Here

2018 March

First Workshop Series

Started with weekend sessions for startup finance teams struggling with cash flow projections. Twenty attendees showed up. Half stayed in touch for years.

2020 August

Remote Program Launch

Moved everything online during lockdowns. Discovered that breakout sessions worked better virtually than in person. Our completion rates jumped from 68% to 84%.

2022 November

Scenario Planning Module

Added specialized training for teams facing rapid market changes. Built around actual crisis scenarios from 2020-2021. Still our most requested content.

2024 May

Corporate Partnership Program

Started working with mid-sized companies who needed their entire finance departments trained. Adjusted our approach to include team leads as co-facilitators.

What You'll Actually Learn

Budget analysis and variance tracking examples

Variance Analysis That Makes Sense

Stop drowning in monthly budget reports. Learn to spot the differences that actually matter and explain them to non-finance stakeholders.

Cash flow projection models and forecasting techniques

Cash Flow Projection Methods

Build models that update quickly when plans change. We focus on three-statement forecasting with real company data examples.

Strategic planning tools and decision frameworks

Strategic Planning Integration

Connect your financial forecasts to business strategy. Learn to build planning cycles that actually influence company decisions.

Our Training Approach

We built this around what finance professionals told us they needed. Less theory, more hands-on practice with real scenarios.

1

Work With Your Own Data

Bring your company's actual financials to sessions. We help you build forecasting models using numbers you'll actually need next month. Most participants leave with working templates they can implement immediately.

2

Small Group Sessions

Classes cap at twelve people. You'll work through problems together and see how others approach similar challenges. Past participants say the peer learning was more valuable than the lectures.

3

Ongoing Support Access

Get six months of follow-up support after completing a program. Email questions when you hit roadblocks. Join optional monthly check-ins to troubleshoot issues as they come up.

4

Flexible Scheduling

Programs run in evening blocks or weekend intensives. We record everything so you can catch up if work conflicts arise. Next cohort starts September 2025 with applications opening in June.

Emmett Harlow

Lead Training Specialist

Spent twelve years in corporate FP&A before switching to training full-time in 2017. Worked at companies ranging from Series A startups to publicly traded firms. Now I help finance teams build skills they wish they'd learned earlier in their careers. Outside of work, I'm usually hiking or attempting to keep houseplants alive.
